It’s more than just where the airport is

Entebbe has long been known as a “the place where the airport is” but it has a lot more to offer than you may think.  So without further adue, I present my favourite things to do in Entebbe.

So you may be wondering, why should I even stop in Entebbe? Compared to the hustle and bustle of Kampala, Entebbe can be a breath of fresh air!

Accomodation

The guinea fowl

Everything about the Guinea fowl just works. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is affordable and absolutely delicious, the garden is an oasis of peace and all the rooms are wonderful.

The Boma Hotel Entebbe

Reinventing Rolex has never looked so good. The rolex guy is great at what he does. The food tastes absolutely delicious and they have lovely simple dishes.

Although Kampala may be East-Africas nightlife capital, Entebbe's restaurants and bars have a much more laid back feel.

Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre

UWEC is a centre that cares for rescued animals, often victims of bush meat trade, habitat destruction, or illegal trade. Individuals that can make it in the wild, are released back.

Give Entebbe a chance

After you’ve spent some time in Entebbe it will start to grow on you. Life is a less hectic than the capitol and it has its fair share of activities to keep you busy. If you plan on travelling through Uganda, add a day in Entebbe in to your itinerary: pick a few things from the list above and who knows, you might just fall for this charming little town.
