Last weekend I had the pleasure of seeing Seun Kuti & the Egypt 80 in the Paradiso in Amsterdam. Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti, known to most as Seun Kuti, is a Nigerian musician and the youngest son of famous afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. Seun leads his father’s former band Egypt 80. It was truly a sensation to see Fela Kuti’s son honouring his dad in such a moving manner.
I think Fela would have been proud!
