Sara Waiswa is a Ugandan-born, Kenya-based documentary and portrait photographer with a unique perspective. After obtaining a double degree in sociology and psychology, she embraced photography as her medium to explore what she calls a “New African Identity.” It’s an identity, she explains, that comes from within the continent, and from a generation that is less inhibited by the expectations and traditions of the past.
