Nyege Nyege Festival

Nyege Nyege, meaning the irresistible urge to dance, in Luganda language, takes place in the cool hippy town of Jinja, a small city of around 70,000 inhabitants. Organized by a small group of European promoters who live in Uganda and have a deep investment in the country and its musical and cultural development, Nyege Nyege is a festival unlike any other.

I left my soul somewhere in Jinja last year and I intend to come find it this year. Best money I ever spent. There is no experience that can match with Nyege Nyege. Better add this to your bucket list, take leave or abscond from work if you must.
